I recently read in the newspaper about my local councillor, Ivan Bell's hearing involving allegations that he breached the council code of conduct from the council constitution by treating a female officer of the council with a lack of respect.

I'm unwilling to listen to other people's rumours about the incident, therefore I intend to go to the councillors hearing tomorrow, and cover the hearing as an independant news source.

Whilst I know very little about this case in detail, indeed the newspaper article is the most I know.
Currently, however, I am undecided whether this hearin, relates to the content of a letter I read in the Glossop Advertiser, which referenced an incident, where Ivan Bell, appears to have said something at misjudged.

As someone in the Old Glossop ward, I obviously have a vested interst in who is councillor to my ward, and thus want to make sure that he is treated fairly and portrayed accuratly by the media. I intend to cover the event as a Citizen Journalist and would ideally like to interview both the accused and those who are bringing the case forward.

The hearing takes place tomorrow at 11am at the council offices in Chinley.
